Why do correction?

Liquid density decreases as it heats up, causing your hydrometer to sink deeper and register a lower gravity reading than the actual sugar content. Conversely, cold liquid registers a higher reading. Correcting for temperature errors ensures your recipe and ABV calculations remain consistent.
